The woodcut that decorates this cover and endpages is a reproduction of the Fustat textile fragment EA1990.586, described as “textile fragment with tendrils, leaves, and flowers” in the The Newberry Collection in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.

I’m really pleased with how this book came out, with the exception of the glue bleed-through on the front cover. I’ve got a couple of projects lined up to test ways to avoid that in the future.
