I used this degrading double cross stitch on a crazy quilt a while back and absolutely fell in love with it, and I’ve been wanting to use it on a book cover ever since. In these colors, it makes me think of rain illuminated by city lights at night, with clouds breaking up overhead and the first few stars shining through.
After the bleed-through problem on the Florets and Vines cover, using the same fabric, I tried using quilting spray adhesive, and it’s adequate but not ideal – I love that it’s repositionable, especially for a cover that needs positioning this precise, but the adhesion is not really strong and I think it’s going to work its way loose at some point down the road.
